What is your definition of success? One dictionary defines success as “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose”. I agree with this definition. We are a success if we accomplish our purpose in life. Further, we are a success if we are fulfilling our purpose. In the former statement, success is looking in the rear view mirror to see where we have been. Did we accomplish in life what we set out to achieve? The latter statement is looking through the windshield. Am I living in my purpose today and intend to do so for the foreseeable future?
To be a success we must know what our purpose is; what our calling is; why were we put on this earth. Allow me to encourage you to be very intentional about discovering the calling on your life. Then become very intentional about doing whatever it takes to start living in your calling; your purpose. When we be and do who and what we were created to be and do, we enjoy life. This is when we live life abundantly. Work is no longer a chore because we are doing what we were created to do.
