If you want to be exceptional in the eyes of your customer, it’s really not difficult. All you have to do is meet their expectations, and when you do, you become the exception. Unfortunately that’s not the rule.
You did what you said you were going to do; that’s an exception. You didn’t make promises you could not keep; that’s an exception. You were professional; that’s an exception. Get my drift?
When you consistently meet your customers’ expectations, you also exceed them, and now you become the exception and not the rule.
