Celebrating Your Team on Administrative Professionals Day

Celebrating Your Team on Administrative Professionals Day

Your business’ administrative team is essential for maintaining your office space, operations, and company culture. National Administrative Professionals Day is recognized on the Wednesday of the last full week in April (April 27th for 2022). It’s linked to what was first designated as National Secretaries Week in 1955 and was later deemed National Administrative Professionals Week in 2000.

According to National Today, administrative professionals are defined as individuals who are responsible for administrative tasks and coordinate information in order to support an office environment, which includes:

  • Administrative directors
  • Administrative assistants
  • Human resource administrators
  • Secretaries
  • Bill and account collectors
  • Office managers
  • Receptionists

How can you say ‘thank you’ to your administrative professionals this year? Leave them a sticky note greeting, give them a free coffee, invite them out to a special happy hour, or give them a small gift of appreciation. You even have time to plan a special lunch if you have a large group to celebrate.

One More Tip: Plan ahead for National Receptionists Day coming up on May 11. Find ideas here.
