Being a business that directly deals with young individuals in hands on experiences of self discovery, WHACC Member business Effective Leadership Academy found themselves in a difficult position at the beginning of this pandemic. However, within one week of schools closing as a response to COVID-19, ELA launched a brand new initiative for online learning and development.
ELA Online consists of virtual middle school and high school interactive classrooms with customized curriculum to develop students’ leadership and social-emotional skills. It was created to empower students EVERYWHERE and heighten their ability to embrace change through positive thinking. From a recent press release, Flo Brett ELA Founder and Executive Director said, “Students need to enhance their social and emotional skills more than ever to learn strategies for embracing change and adjusting to unpredictable circumstances”.
