Like many other businesses, the impact of COVID-19 for Arslanian Brothers Carpet, Rug, and Upholstery Cleaning stopped their business. Unexpectedly and thankfully, they saw a shift from pick up, delivery, and in-home cleaning, to their customer carry in business. In an interview with Ted Arslanian, he mentioned that “during COVID 19 [rug drop off] has proven to be one of the biggest parts of our business.” While people are more comfortable dropping off their rugs, Arslanian Brothers has seen their commercial business pick-up.
Those customers who didn’t call for services earlier in the year are calling Arslanian Brothers now, and through the help of the PPP loan, they are prepared to support their customers. Arslanian Brothers is seeing the demand for sanitization rise. Ted told us, “we’re doing a lot more antibacterial treatment of rugs because people are very conscious of that.” Although processes and demand may be different, Arslanian Brothers is confident about the future of business. With the way business is currently running, Ted said, “I think we’re going to have a real good finish to the year.” For over 60 years, Arslanian Brothers has been a trusted family run business and become one of the largest area rug cleaners in the Midwest.
